TS Marine Services
We’re boating enthusiasts and have turned our passion into a professional service. It’s the perfect blend of having a great excuse to be on boats all day, and using our skills as mechanical engineers. Boating is our way of life.
TS Marine is locally owned and operated by Travis Stoddart, a mechanical engineer with 15 years experience.
Our workshop is based in Seaview in Lower Hutt, and we work with businesses and private boat owners across New Zealand.
Our reputation for quality workmanship and project management has resulted in us continuing to grow our team and what we can offer Wellington boat owners.
In 2021 we became the official Volvo Penta Agency in Wellington and are proud to be the authorised dealer for the biggest name in marine engines. This reflects our long commitment to the brand and enables us to supply new engines and genuine Volvo Penta parts directly to our customers.
It’s not unusual to see us supervising a boat being transported to a new berth in Auckland, or attending a vessel that has broken down in the South Island. We go where our customers need us.

Who we work for
We work for everyone who owns a boat with an inboard or outboard engine. From the casual boaties who enjoy weekend cruising to large commercial vessels.
East by West Ferries
One client who is particularly close to our heart is the East by West Ferry who we do regular maintenance for. As well as providing transport across the harbour, these ferries are part of Wellington’s civil defence plan. We have the important role of making sure these ferries are in excellent working order to fulfil their duties, a role that we take seriously. You never know when they’ll be put into action for a civil defence event!
Full service
We can service all makes and models of marine engines and have experience with Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Nanni, MerCruiser, John Deere, Ford, Cummins, and MTU engines. We are the only authorised repair agent for Hyundai Seasall in Wellington.
We’re well connected and can oversee various aspects of your vessel maintenance, including antifouling (the cleaning and painting of the hull), upholstery clean and install, and general repairs.
